Importance of Plants and Trees
Hello Our Readers and Nature Lovers. Hope you all are doing well in life. Today we want to draw you attention towards the importance of plants and trees in our surroundings. Let's begin and see how important they are for us.
As we knew so far that our Solar System was formed some 4.6 - 4.5 billion years ago from a dense cloud of Interstellar gas and dust; and our beautiful planet Earth was formed about in the same period too, in initial period of thousands years our planet was not habitable; it had no atmosphere at all and appeared as a fire ball which was very hot. Eventually, with some chemical reactions and other factors it cools down by heavy acid rain initially (and later normal rain course). This mark changes on Earth's geography and planet start getting ready for life.
If we take Human species in particular, when human species originate on Earth by the process of evolution, our ancestors lived in forests. They are totally depends on plants and tree for all their need. They cannot imagine themselves without nature, or we can say that without nature/forest/tree/plant, they were never evolve and lived. With time, continuous improvement in brain capacity of human ancestors resulted further evolution in human history. Our ancestors found new ways of living, at first they start wear cloths made by leaf. This evolutionary process was continuously happened and our ancestors discover many new ways, they start using woods of trees to construct their home, to make food by using woods as a fuel after discovery of fire. They used wood tools like bow and arrow, harpoon, etc. in their hunting activities too.
On the other side, with evolutionary living pattern, ancestors start finding and using herbs as medicines, and cure the diseases too. Nowadays, we also use herbs and plants as medicines; many conventional drugs originate from plant sources, such as Aspirin derived from bark of willow tree, Digoxin derived from foxglove plant, Quinine derived from the bark of cinchona tree, Morphine derived from the opium poppy plant, etc. Chinese herbal tradition is the most dominant of the ancient herbal traditions. It is based on concepts of yin and yang and of Qi energy. Chinese herbs are considered “cooling” (yin), “stimulating” (yang) and are administered in combination according to the deficiencies or excesses of these qualities in the patient. Modern Western herbal tradition focuses on the effects of herbs on individual body systems rather than taking a holistic approach. Herbs may be used for anti-inflammatory, haemostatic, expectorant, antispasmodic or immune-stimulatory properties. It is estimated that around 80% of the worldwide population uses herbal medicines, mainly as self-prescribed products. This type of herbal drug use is typically based on a simple matching of a particular herb to particular disease or symptom. An herbal medicine is also called botanical medicine or phytomedicine, and is defined as the whole plants or part of plants to prevent or treat illness. Plant parts used include seeds, berries, roots, Leaves, bark or flowers. The development of drugs from plants by drug companies encourages large scale pharmacological screening of herbs.
There are many many more other important aspects of plants and tree in our life which is impossible to cover in a single article. We will see importance of nature in upcoming articles with respective topics. For now, we hope you catch some awareness about the nature and its importance. Our vision from this blog is to generate a basic awareness about the nature in human being, as so they start caring of their own nature at individual level which definitely resulted towards SAVING of EARTH.
